After weeks of waiting, IceFrog announced the release
of the DotA-AllStars 6.50 map
The impact that the new map will play on competitive DotA will not be discovered until the map is played. This new map nerfed heroes, items and even the map itself. This version was aiming to become the next stable league map, and also to fix the 'imbalances' of the previous versions.
Notable Hero Changes
Implemented a better silencing mechanism in the Black Hole area to prevent spell execution regardless of cast animation time
For those that are not familiar with Black Hole, it is Enigmas ultimate. Black Hole creates a ... black hole at a target location, which sucks enemies into the middle. The problem with Enigma in the previous versions, was that enemies could blink out, or disable Enigma, to cause the Black Hole to stop.
Reduced Queen of Pain's Blink range at early levels
ueen of Pain, more commonly known as Qop, has been a first pick for many teams in the competitive scene. Being able to blink in the current game play, gives a huge advantage to the players with the blink.
Eclipse's damage is based on Lucent Beam level and doesn't mini stun
Luna has said to be one of the largest imbalanced heroes in the game. Lucent Beam did not have to be leveled up in the previous versions in order to create a powerful ultimate, but now it does. This will cause Luna to not really be able to jungle as well, which in turn, can make him not as strong.
Notable Item Changes
Redesigned Eul's Scepter of Divinity
Eul's and Guinsoo have been limited to two in almost all tournaments for the past years. IceFrog tried making Eul's actually have a cool down (of 20 seconds), but it still seemed to not work. Now Eul's and Guinsoo are differently made. Eul has unlimited charges, with a 40 seconds cool down.
Added cooldown to Bottle usage and reduced its sell cost
Bottle has been seen on almost every hero in the current game play, now with an actual cool down on bottle, who knows what could happen to this once imbalanced item.
Changed how Dagger of Escape works. It cannot be activated if you took damage in the last 3 seconds.
In my opinion, this is the biggest change of them all. Dagger has been a key item for the top teams game play, as they gank and were able to flee the battle field quickly, to avoid death. Dagger now should take the name, Dagger of Initiation, as you can no longer escape with it very well. Dagger will still be seen on quite a few heroes, as many teams used their daggers to initiate in the first place.
Notable Changes
Change some of the Scourge's top left forest area
Scourge can no longer pull neutral creeps into the middle lane for extra experience, but the top of scourge can now pull creeps easier.
