In the year 2002, in a small town called Pateros where duck and "balut" eggs are famous, there were five (5) boys who were all in their 3rd year level high school. They all went to study at Pateros Catholic School and then became acquaintances. Some of them even became classmates. Later on, they found out that they were all having the same hobby of playing computer games.They went to this computer shop called “I-Surf” to play with each other. They were just playing all sorts of games like “Counterstrike” and “Warcraft III”. Almost everyday, after going to school, they were playing computer games for hours. Every time they play with each other, their bond gets stronger and that leads them to a good friendship…
After years of playing computer games, they found out about a new game that is worth playing than the others. Two of their friends told them about this new map of “Warcraft III” called “Defense of the Ancients” also known as DotA. Since they liked playing “Warcraft III”, they tried it out and were amazed by the quality of the game. Since then, they play DotA whenever they will go to a computer shop. They spent so many hours of playing DotA in order for them to get stronger. They had come up with lots of useful strategies and powerful game plays. Other people used to call them “I-Surf boys” because they all came from “I-Surf” computer shop. They played at different computer shops like “hack you” and “aljoy” to play with other DotA players. Also, they wanted to discover some new strategies and to test their improvements so far. Some of them already experienced joining tournaments. They sometimes even bet their money on the outcome of the game. All of these were done to reach their only goal, which is to excel in playing DotA…
In a not so special day, they heard about this famous DotA clan that called themselves “Team 129”. Their clan is famous because of their outstanding DotA skills and game plays. They also heard that one of the members of Team 129 is called “vin”. Coincidentally, one of the “I-Surf boys” has a name “vin” as well. They made a spoof out of “vin of Team 129”. After all, they like to make jokes even on the slightest thing that they think of. So what they did was they changed the number in the “Team 129” and replaced it with “Team 643”. It is just because the telephone number of “vin” that they knew starts with 643. Since then, it became one of their jokes and they would say that they have “vin” of “team 643” in their group. After a while, they got tired in making fun of their so-called group name. Since they have taken playing DotA seriously, they thought about having a real clan of their own and not just a laughing stock. They have decided to make one and thought about the things that a clan needs to have. Obviously, they need to have a name for theirs. But they find it hard to think of such a unique name for their clan. They thought about “Team 643” that they had. They realize that it doesn’t sounds bad since there were already some teams that use numbers on their clan name. And besides, “Team 643” left some good memories on them. Finally, they have decided that they would just stick to the name “Team 643” and be serious about it…
